• March 18 – Popular dissident journalist and longtime Houthi supporter Abdulkarim al-Khaiwani is killed by unidentified gunmen outside his home in Sana’a.
• March 19 – A jet flown by an unknown pilot launches missiles at the compound housing former president Hadi in the southern city of Aden. No injuries are reported.
• March 20 – Suicide bombers attack the Badr mosque in Sana’a, killing a prominent Houthi cleric and 126 worshippers. Islamic State claims responsibility for the attack.
• March 22 – Houthis take the key city of Taiz on the road between Sana’a and Aden, sparking protests from Sunni locals and attacks from militant groups.
• March 22 – US troops pull out of al-Anad air base near Aden following al-Qaeda attack on a nearby town.
