Bank of Canada Wavering on Inflation Fight?

Inflation remains a pressing issue in Canada, one that both the government and the Bank of Canada are facing mounting criticism over.

According to Statistics Canada, inflation eased slightly in December to reach 6.3% year-on-year, down from 6.8% the month before. The report contained reason for some optimism in the 0.6% monthly fall in prices, down from a 0.1% gain in November and the largest monthly decline since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in April 2020.
