Bolivia has a leader, at least for the time being: interim president Jeanine Añez, a relatively unknown senator who was about to call it quits in politics before the current crisis broke out. Añez represents the Movimiento Democrata Social (MDS), a small regional party that received just 4 percent of the vote in recent elections.
